How to compile Xilinx libraries for Modelsim simulations
This tutorial explains how to compile Xilinx ISE and EDK libraries for simulation purposes.
- Start Modelsim
- From Transcript window, enter "compxlib", and follow the GUI instructions. Note that the libraries should be recompiled for each new revision of ISE or Modelsim.
- From Transcript window, enter "compedklib", and follow the GUI instructions. Note that the libraries should be recompiled for each new revision of EDK or Modelsim.
