The Zynq platform eliminates the need for the remote PC and can, with the help of FPGA based processing implement a standalone WiSER system . The Zynq system runs Ubuntu Linux and all of the legacy and newly developed application that are currently running on host GPP can be effectively ported to the embedded ARM CPUs.
